Born in northern Quebec, Jason Tremblay's journey reflects resilience and determination. At the age of 17, he moved to Ontario without speaking English, learning the language through cultural immersion. While earning a Business Administration diploma at Loyalist College, he gained financial experience at a prominent national bank. He later pursued further education at the University of Western Ontario, where he balanced academics with leadership, serving as the campaign manager for a political campaign overseeing a team of 40 volunteers.
Jason continued his academic journey at the Faculty of Law in Ottawa, enrolling in the Programme de droit canadien (J.D./LL. L.). During his time there, he helped establish and served as president of the Indigenous Law Student Governance, worked with Indigenous communities on drafting their constitutions, and conducted extensive research on Indigenous self-governance. He contributed and excelled in his role with the Ottawa Law Review/Revue de droit d’Ottawa. He was also elected by the student body to assist the Dean Selection Committee for the Faculty of Law—Common Law Section.
Inspired to return to his roots, Jason moved to Sturgeon Falls during the pandemic to embrace the quiet of northern living. After articling at a prominent law firm in Sudbury, he was called to the bar in 2023. Jason gained valuable experience working as Duty Counsel for Legal Aid Ontario before founding his own practice, J. Tremblay Lawyer Professional Corporation, where he continues to serve his community with dedication.
